Leopards and Tigers and Kangaroos, O MY!!!
Leopards and Tigers and Kangaroos, O MY!!!
Kimberly, Rhianna and I visited a wildlife exhibit that for a donation would let us go inside the cages and play with the young animals...supervised, of course. The animals are from the G. W. Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma. That animals are all rescued animals who had been abandoned, injured or abused. The park rescues them and if possible relocates them back to the wild. The animals in the traveling exhibit include a 3 month old leopard cub named Checkers, 3 month old "twin" tiger cubs named King Edward and the other does not yet have a sponsor or name, a baby kangaroo named Joey, and two 8 month old white tigers. For a $25 donation 3 people could go inside the cage for 8 minutes and sit on the floor and play with the animals with a handler in the cage with them. We saw Checkers, the leopard cub first and played with him. I actually got bitten by her although it didn't break the skin since I didn't jerk. She had a very good grip on my wrist. Then she turned her attention to my boot on which we think she could smell duck, cow, dogs, chickens or other farm animals and was very fascinated with it and finally tried to take it off my foot. These are the photographs we took during our interaction with the animals.
